Driving range booking software

Your range is revenue that mostly runs on trust and a queue at the counter. Caddyio turns it into a bookable, priced facility: set how many bays you have, how long a slot is and what it costs, and members reserve one from the same app they score their rounds in — balls included.

The bay a member books sits beside the round they played on Saturday and the lesson they took on Tuesday, because it is the same member record.

The problem

The range is the least managed thing the club sells

Bays fill on a first-come basis, the busy hours are guesswork, and balls are a token or a shout across the counter. Nobody can tell you which bays were used, when the range actually peaks, or what it earned last month — because none of it was ever recorded.

The response

A bookable range, priced the way you sell it

Say how many bays you have, how long a slot is, how many slots one person can take and what it costs a member or a visitor. Members then see live bay availability by date, choose their time, add a bucket of balls and book. Your team gets a day diary showing exactly which bays are spoken for and when.

Why it matters

What a truly connected club gains

01

Members stop having to gamble on turning up

The whole reason a member drives past the range on a wet Thursday is that they don't know whether a bay will be free. Showing them live availability, and letting them hold a bay for half an hour, converts an intention into a visit.

02

The balls are part of the booking, not a second transaction

Your buckets are a price list on the range — a small, a large, whatever you sell. A member picks one while booking the bay, so the club has the whole basket in one place instead of a booking here and a token there.

03

You finally have the numbers

Every booking records what it was, how long for and what it came to. That is the first honest picture most clubs get of when their range is actually busy — which is what tells you whether to floodlight it, staff it differently or put the price up.

04

It's the same system as everything else

The range isn't a separate product with its own login and its own supplier. It sits with the tee sheet, the member record and the coaching diary, so a professional can see that a student practised twice in the week before the round that finally broke 80.

Bays and slot lengths you set

Say how many bays you have and whether you sell them in 30 minutes or an hour. Members can take consecutive slots up to a limit you choose.

Buckets of balls

Add the buckets you sell with a name, a ball count and a price. Members pick one — and how many — as part of booking the bay.

Member and visitor prices

Two prices per slot, so members can practise free or at a rate while visitors pay yours. Leave both at zero and the range is simply bookable.

For your club

  • Publish a bookable range without buying a separate booking system
  • Set bays, slot length, maximum booking length and how far ahead people can book
  • Price a slot differently for members and for visitors
  • Sell buckets of balls as part of the booking, with your own names and prices
  • Confirm bookings instantly, or approve each one, per facility
  • Close the range for maintenance, floodlight failures or private hire
  • Take a booking at the counter for a member or a name-only walk-in
  • See a day diary of exactly which bays are taken, and for how long

For your members

  • See which bays are free before leaving the house
  • Book a bay for as long as you actually want it
  • Buy your balls at the same time, in one total
  • Cancel from your phone so the bay goes back to someone else
  • No separate range app, card or login

How it works

  1. 01

    Set up the range

Add a driving range, set the number of bays, the slot length, the longest booking you'll allow, your opening hours and open days.

  2. 02

    Price it

Set a member price and a visitor price per slot, then add the buckets of balls you sell with their ball counts and prices.

  3. 03

    Members book

Members open Practice, pick a day and a time, choose how long they want the bay and whether they want balls, and book. Most clubs confirm range bays instantly.

  4. 04

    Run the day

Your team works from a diary that shows every bay booking, including the ones running through from an earlier slot, and takes counter bookings for walk-ins.

The Caddyio difference

Practice that counts as part of the club

A standalone range booking tool knows about bays. It doesn't know that the person in bay four is a member in arrears, or a visitor, or the student whose lesson focus was driving accuracy. Because Caddyio already holds the membership, the rounds and the coaching, booking a bay is one more thing the club knows about that member rather than a separate system to reconcile.

Frequently asked

Do members book a specific bay?
No — they book a bay, and the counter points them at whichever is free, exactly as it works when someone walks in. Your bay count sets how many bookings fit in a slot, so the last bay can never be sold twice.
Can members book more than half an hour?
Yes. You set the slot length and the maximum number of consecutive slots one booking can take. Members are only offered durations that are genuinely free from the time they picked, so they can't be refused after choosing.
How do buckets of balls work?
You add the buckets you sell — a name, how many balls and a price — and members choose one, and how many, while booking the bay. Buckets cost the same for members and visitors, because they're a consumable rather than a membership perk. To retire one, take it off sale so old bookings keep their label.
Can I charge members for the range?
Yes, and this differs from the green fee deliberately: clubs routinely charge their own members for range time. There's a member price and a visitor price, both per slot, and either can be zero.
Does it integrate with my ball dispenser?
Not today. Caddyio books the bay and sells the bucket; the balls are still collected at the counter. Dispenser and range-card integration is on the roadmap rather than shipped, and we'd rather say so than have you find out in week one.
Can staff book a bay for someone at the counter?
Yes — for a searched member or a name-only walk-in. The booking records what it comes to at your published rates but isn't marked paid, because the money goes through your till as it does today.
