Caddyio is one platform for the whole club — the round, the tee sheet, the range, the competitions, the coaching and the member relationship — rather than another box bolted onto the side of the club’s systems.
What Caddyio is
Most golf club software grew up solving one problem. A tee sheet that fills visitor slots. A competition engine that produces results. A handicap system that reports to the union. Each is good at its job, and a club ends up running four of them, none of which knows what the others know about the same member.
Caddyio starts from the member instead. The round they played, the handicap it moved, the shots they logged, the bay they booked to work on it, the lesson their professional gave them and the tee time they booked next are one record, under the club’s own brand on the club’s own domain. The club owns that relationship rather than renting it from a network.
Members never pay for it and never see an advert. The club subscribes; that is the whole commercial model, and it is why the member experience has nothing to upsell.

Built to World Handicap System rules
Scoring, playing handicaps and Stableford points follow WHS as published. The handicap engine is a pure, separately tested module — and Caddyio is deliberately not the official record: it tracks an indicative Handicap Index for the club's handicap secretary to submit.

Every member can export everything the club holds on them, or delete their account, from their own settings — without emailing anyone. Row-level security scopes each club's data in the database itself, not just in the application.

A documented REST API and a drop-in embed SDK let a club pull its own live data onto its own website. Nothing about how the platform works is hidden from the people paying for it.

Every vendor lists what it does. These are the things we are careful never to claim, because a club would find out in week one anyway.
- It is not your official WHS handicap record.
- Caddyio tracks an indicative Handicap Index and exports it for your handicap secretary. Your union-connected provider stays the system of record.
- It is not an EPOS or a till.
- Caddyio does not take counter payments. Bookings taken at the desk record what they come to and are deliberately not marked as paid, because the money went through your till.
- The card checkout at booking is a demonstration.
- It shows a club what taking a green fee or a bay fee at booking would look like. It accepts published test cards only and takes no money. Card billing via Stripe is available on request and is off by default.
- It is not a tee-time marketplace.
- Caddyio has no visitor-demand network to fill your empty slots. If that is your main need, a distribution platform does it better and the comparison pages say so.
- It does not talk to your range ball dispenser.
- Caddyio books the bay and sells the bucket; the balls are still collected at the counter.

George has spent twenty years building application software for enterprise operations — the systems a business actually runs on day to day, rather than the ones it demonstrates. He is also an avid golfer and a serial entrepreneur who has founded and run several businesses. Caddyio is where those two halves meet: operational software, written for the way a golf club really works.
