Group play
Play Together — live group scorecards
Play Together turns a fourball into a live scoring session. Everyone in the group scores in the same session and sees each other's cards update hole-by-hole, with a running gross, net and Stableford leaderboard. Members and checked-in visitors score themselves; the host marks guests who don't have the app.
Golf is social; the scoring should be too — one shared card the whole group watches, not four separate apps.
The problem
Four players, four disconnected cards
A group scoring on phones is really four separate rounds — nobody can see anyone else's card, there's no live match within the group, and the friendly bragging rights need a paper tally at the end.
The response
One session the whole group shares
The host starts a session and shares a join code; members and checked-in visitors join and score their own card, while the host marks any guests. Everyone sees every card update live, with a group leaderboard running gross, net and Stableford — and it finishes with a shareable summary.
Why it matters
What a truly connected club gains
The social game, live
Seeing the whole group's cards update hole-by-hole makes the round a shared event, not four solo ones — the match within the group is live all the way round.
Guests included
Not everyone has the app. The host marks guests as first-class cards, exactly the way a marker keeps a playing partner's score in real life.
It's still their real round
Each member's session card is their normal round — it counts for their history and (if qualifying) their handicap. The session is a shared view, not a throwaway.
Fair to everyone's game
The group leaderboard runs net and Stableford as well as gross, so players off different handicaps have a real match.
Join by code
The host shares a 6-character code; members and checked-in visitors join in a tap.
Live shared cards
Every player's card updates hole-by-hole on everyone's device.
Guests & leaderboard
The host marks name-only guests; a group leaderboard runs gross, net and Stableford.

How it works
- 01
Host starts a session
The host picks the course and shares a join code (and adds any guests).
- 02
The group joins
Members and checked-in visitors join with the code and score their own card.
- 03
Play & finish
Cards update live with a group leaderboard; a shareable summary ends it.
The Caddyio difference
Golf is social — the scoring should be too
No incumbent gives a mixed group of members, visitors and guests one live, shared scoring session. Play Together does — turning a fourball into a connected event, with everyone's real round intact.
Compare the whole platformFrequently asked
- Can guests without the app play?
- Yes. The host marks a name-only guest as a full scorecard in the session, the way a marker keeps a partner's score.
- Does a session round still count for me?
- Yes — your card in the session is your normal round, so it counts for your history and, if qualifying, your indicative handicap.
- Can visitors join?
- Yes, once they've been checked in at the club — then they can join the session with the code.
